The shop was such a mess. Stuart got the organzation going and I spent the weekend finishing up. Got a place for everything and everything is labled. I hope Stuart will be proud, he is the king of organizing.
We moved the swing and firepit here to the prow of the house and if you sit there it's hard to move or get anything done. Yesterday morning while I was having coffee two Bald Eagles, an adult and juvenile flew over the river looking for breakfast. We also got a visit from a Blue Heron, a pair of American Mergansers, a pair of Mallards, a Kingfisher, about a dozen Sanderlings and countless swallows skimming the river for snacks. Up top there were Nuthatches, Oregon Junkos, Stellar's Jays and a small yellowish bird that I have yet to identify.
I could tell it was really hard for the guys getting all that wood up top in the heat.
I moved all my fruit trees inside the fence. First so I could reach them with the hose and second so the deer wouldn't snack on them. We have 10 blueberry bushes, three Liberty apples, 2 rescue pears and an Asian pear.
My Dad will start on the walls Wednesday so Russell and Dave got all the wood he will need to start stacked up there for him.
After the guys got the big beam up to the second floor some more guys arrived and they wanted to give it a try to get the beams in place.
Thanks to Russell, Chris, Steve, Tim, Tim's friend (sorry) and Mike. We couldn't have done it without you.
