Roof Leak
We have a really strange leak in the roof. It's right over one of the main beams in the great room where the roof comes together in a complicated way.
We ordered some Iron Coat which is a kind of rubber patch stuff. We had it tinted the color of the roof. That should take care of it.
The strange thing is that the leak found it's way between the drywall and latex paint.
The paint has completely slid down. That ball of water is about half the size of a basketball.
I don't even know how I'm gonna fix this wall. The paint peels right off but so does the texture. So, I'll have to peel off as much as I can, sand the edges and re-texture it I guess. I'm not going to do anything until the roof is fixed.

The exact same thing happened to me!
Our leak was from the air conditioner. One day I came home, parked my car in the garage and I felt water dripping on me. I looked up and there was a huge bubble on the ceiling. I of course popped the bubble out of curiousity and not much happened. We did have to turn off our a/c (sucks for me because it was July and about 115 outside). We had to fix the a/c, check for mold and replace the sheetrock.
Good luck with your bubble!

Of course, I popped it too.........how could I not? I have to admit it was a little fun.
Dave gets home from his trip tomorrow and we are supposed to have a few days of sun so he should be able to get it patched. I don't want to even think about the mold issue......for now anyway.
