March?

We woke up this morning to snow and it's been snowing all day and the news says we are getting ready to get blasted with another storm tonight.

It brought mind the funny funny bit that Jim Belushi did on SNL that "Nobody asked me, but...." posted today.

The good news is that there has been quite a show at the bird feeders today.

I was excited at this sighting.

I am pretty sure that this is a Pacific-slope Flycatcher.  My first ever.

Normally this guy is an insect eater although they will eat seeds.  He has been working on the suet cakes most of the morning.

The feeders were busy with the usual visitors and this guy was busy on the river.

I believe this is a first year Bald Eagle.  I watched him try to catch a Common Merganser female.  He rested here for a moment before giving up.

By the way, in case you wondered, we seem to have survived the great flood of '07.  The floors and drywall is all dry now and looks pretty good.  We fixed the water filter with copper fittings this time and not the plastic ones that come with it.
